I blog at http://jasontbedell.com.

I started the blog as a library media specialist and will continue to use it as I start my new job as an educational technology specialist in two weeks. While a lot of my posts have an ed tech slant to them, I try to keep a pedagogical focus and look at the big picture of how to positively change education as we know it.
I am a former fourth grade teacher and President/CEO of StarrMatica.com. I share via two blogs.

At the Interactive Content Corner, I post links to specific interactive activities and provide ideas for integrating those activities into classroom instruction. http://www.interactivecontentcorner.com

At Interactive Whiteboard Insights, I post articles about interactive whiteboards in education. http://interactivewhiteboardinsights.blogspot.com

I can also be found on Twitter: @starrmatica

"Once There Were Lions" http://oncetherewerelions.wordpress.com/

The title comes from the David Quammen book, Monster of God
“The foreseeable outcome is that in the year 2150, when human population peaks at around eleven billion, alpha predators will have ceased to exist — except behind chain-link fencing, high-strength glass, and steel bars... ...Children will be startled and excited to learn, if anyone tells them, that once there were lions at large in the very world.”

I teach 7th and 9th grade science (Life/Environmental Science; Biology) at New Canaan Country School in CT. My blog covers topics that range from ecology, wildlife, and sustainable development, to human health, toxicology, current events, and agriculture. I also write about classroom projects and topics related to teaching and technology.

Glad I found this group. I am very new to blogging. I just started in August. I welcome suggestions and advice. I'm not sure I have found my focus. I have a few other blog posts in the works and know I need to just keep at it.

I am a former high school math teacher, current tutor and homeschooling mom to our four children. I developed my blog,HyperHomeschool, as a way to share resources with both the homeschooling and greater education communities. I love to figure out new and exciting ways to help students develop a genuine understanding of concepts by utilizing a variety of resources. I love technology as long as it is intergrated in the learning experience in a meaningful way. My goal as an educator is to help students become crititcal thinkers so they are more fully prepared to tackle the demands of this crazy, wonderful world.
Hi there!
I'm really new to blogging. I launched my blog About a Teacher yesterday. I'm an ESL teacher at an elementary school. I'll share my reflections, ideas and thoughts on my blog. I've learned so much from my PLN. I thought I just had to start writing and sharing everything I've learned with other people too. I strongly believe that by sharing what we do can inspire other teachers. I'd love to hear your thoughts!
