Hi Maria,
Thank you for all your suggestions. Here are the movies that we watch in Spanish 4 and AP: El Norte, Women on the verge of a nervous breakdown, Voices Inocentes, El orfanato, Todo sobre mi madre and Stand and Deliver. I am going to order some of the movies you suggested. Gracias por todo.
Comment by Maria R. Diaz on November 10, 2011 at 9:35pm Hi Gérard. I am showing a movie tomorrow to my Spanish IV and AP, "También la lluvia". It is a fabulous movie but has violence and profanity so you have to prepare your students. On the topic of inmigration I like "Bajo la misma luna". I do a unit on the Spanish civil war and I show "Las 13 rosas" which speaks to the role of women. Finally, my students enjoy "El internado" - scary but with substance. I hope this helps!
We are working with the present conditional. We have read the poem "instantes" Students will write their own poem using si clauses:"Si pudiera vivir nuevamente.." and present it using i movie. The project will include: the written poem, images, an auditory part.
My AP French and Spanish students are working on making an invitation to visit their haunted house. The invitation must include: a written and an auditory parts, vocabulary related to Halloween, pictures, and a si clause.

Celebrating the International Education Week on November 15.
My AP French and Spanish students will teach colors, read a story and share some French and Spanish pastries and cookies with the three year old students in the Pre-School.
It's great to have a sister school in France with whom we skype and exchange students.
Students love to visit each other and learn about a different culture. Arigato!
