About me...

Hi. I am an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Education at Brandon University in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada. I have been on Faculty since August 2008 after 30 years in Public Schools - as a teacher (HS math,science, computer), then as an ICT Coordinator, then as an administrator. I teach SY Math Methods and Educational Technology to Pre-service teachers. I have a doctorate from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg.

Good idea...I described our implementation like "untrodden turf" and doing action research throughout the two year process. Our SY staff are doing many great things using ICT but have no framework to measure their own progress or their students. The LwICT continuum offers both. I'm not aware of any our staff at BU doing research are you?

Senior YearsLwICT is tough without ME mandate, leadership and $$$. Our division is well positioned to go with it as a Div initiative ....challenging though to come up with the vision of how implementation looks. SYs is subject driven so much more than K-8.

Hi Mike...thanks for the connection. Missed you at the BYTE table this year.

Had an interesting meeting this morning with our HS principals. We talked about how LwICT-Senior Years will look in our Division and did some preliminary planning. Good talks.
