The Educator's PLN

The personal learning network for educators

I just began research for an article, which will tie together technology use, 21st century global classrooms and interdisciplinary studies. While media are endless, ways in which teachers can use them often are not. My aim is to shed some light on the how global projects can be used across content areas to engage students in authentic and meaningful learning experiences.

An additional component of global classrooms that will need addressed is the resistance of teachers to rise to the challenge because of fear of failure, habits of experience, frustration, etc. How can we help teachers ease into 21st century teaching and learning without making them feel like their voices are not being hear? What type of teacher buys into technology use and 21st century skills as a means of improving student achievement? Where do we begin?
