Why must the underlying message here be either/or = books vs. online information?
Rather, learning the skills to be savvy consumers of information in any form is key. This is where administrators get the idea to get rid of books and lose the word "Library." If we subscribe to the idea of PLNs, then THAT becomes your personal digital library...hopefully supplemented by books.
